Wednesday, February 28, 2007 we are already done in our comsci 128 project! all of the major features are finished, all that's left are the final touches... praise God!
tomorrow until friday would be our exhibit, if you want to see the different projects made by the cmsc128 students, just go to ICS PC Lab 1 on thursday to friday... right now i'm playing naruto arena, and i'm really enjoying it. although it gets quite frustrating if you start losing again and again. right now i'm completing the missions to unlock zabusa and shizune. i've been losing matches again and again, and i'm already frustrated with my team (sakura sasuke haku). nakakainis, kasi hindi ko mapili ang mga characters na gusto ko dahil tinatapos ko yung mga mission. argh... macky

Comments (3) Tuesday, February 13, 2007 today is feb 13, and tomorrow is feb 14... valentines day! and it will be one of those valentines' day where i don't have a date. but i really don't mind, because i'm happy with my life right now.
this valentine season sort of reminds me of those times... i know i shouldn't be thinking of those times again because i know that it isn't time for me to have a relationship yet. and thank God that He prevented me from dwelling on those moments. then, this peculiar thing happened to me. a few minutes ago, i was doing the dishes - 2 glasses, my favorite mug, and 3 ceramic plates. and of all the things that i could have broken, it was my favorite mug. this mug was my favorite because it's orange (i have come to a liking for orange), bugs bunny was the front design (i really liked him when i was a kid), and it bears my zodiac sign (taurus). and the thing that made it more special is that it was given to me by gracey as a christmas gift. when i was already rinsing the mug, it just slipped out of my hands and fell with a crash. this incident kind of brought finality to my previous relationship, considering that i was starting to remember it again because it's already valentines and i have no date. after this, my friend louie and i was laughing because this happened (it was louie and rein's plates that i was washing). God really moves in such mysterious ways. you will never know what God will use to remind you of the things that really matter. Glory to God! =D macky

But the female eagle has to be careful in her selection, so she puts the male through several tests. When a male eagle shows interest, the female gives him the visual test. They fly up, down, slow, and fast; taking dives and chances to prove strength and dexterity. While he is chasing her in flight, she is checking out his flying ability, his wings for any flaws, and any odd or unusual action he may show during flight. If she finds any problem whatsoever, she will fly away to find a new suitor. When she finally finds a male who passes the visual test; she moves to the test of strength. She picks up a stick and flies up high, and then drops the stick! The male dives for the stick, catches the stick, and carries it back to her. The female Eagle will continue to do this, each time picking up a larger stick. If at any time the male fails to catch the stick and bring it back to her, then she will fly away and start all over with another male. When she finds a male that can catch the largest stick, which by the end of the test is almost a log, then she mates for life. The reason these tests are so important to the female is because when one of their young eaglettes is unable to fly, it will fall to it’s death unless the male can catch his young and return it to the nest. The male needs to be strong, needs to have healthy wings, strong claws to catch and hold their young, plus the ability to return it high up to the nest.
